FAS notified by Haryana

On 25th July 2016, Haryana Government notified the FAS (Freight Assistance Team). The objective is exporting MSMEs (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises). These MSMEs could be located anywhere across the state. The deadline for claim application is September 9. The application needs to be submitted on the IC department’s web portal. The exporting unit of MSMEs bore additional costs. This was because of huge transportation cost. This made their products less competitive compared to coastal area exporting units. The FAS will be enhancing their competitiveness by defraying the transportation charges. FAS will be provided only for direct goods export. No reimbursement will be made for air export.
