UPHESC Recruitment 2016 – 1150 Assistant Professors – Last Date 25-7-2016
The state of Uttar Pradesh has issued a recruitment notification with respect to hiring 1150 assistant professors. The notification requires applicants to be from various backgrounds such as Hindi, Urdu, English, Sanskrit, Drawing, etc. Here is the complete information about the recruitment notification-

Date of Examination: The exam is expected to take place in between November 2016 to December 2016.
Last Date of Application: Interested candidates are requested to apply within 14th July 2016 (14/07/2016) Extended Up to 25th July 2016
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to check with the eligibility criteria before making an application. Here ar the list of eligibility criteria that every candidate must pass in order to considered as a genuine candidate.
- Age Eligibility: The candidate should be more than 62 years as on 01.7.2016. Candidates who are above the age of 62 years cannot apply to this opening.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have scored atleast 55% in their Post-Graduation or should be a professional artist. Additionally, candidates should also possess SET/ NET/ SLET. However, if the highest qualification held by the candidate is Ph.D, then there is no need to hold a SET/ NET/ SLET certificate.
Selection Procedure
Candidates should be well aware of the selection procedure. Every candidate should be analyzed on the basis of 2-tier examination which includes written test and the interview round. Each of the examination will have marks and the total marks obtained by the candidate would determine his selection with Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Commission (UPHESC).
Note: If a candidate is unable to clear the basic cut-off score in the written exam, he will not be invited for the interview round. This implies that the candidate has been eliminated from the selection process.
The score obtained by the candidates during their Post-Graduation will also be taken while computing the final score.
