What documents do I need for online application of UPSC NDA Exam 2016?

While making an online application for UPSC NDA Exam 2016, a candidate has to be equipped with the following documents/ facilities:

• A scanned copy of the candidate’s signature. The size of the image should be in between 1 KB to 40 KB.


• A scanned copy of the candidate’s photo (passport size). The size of the image should be in between 3 KB to 40KB


• Facility for online payment. Can be any one of the following – Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking

How to apply online for UPSC NDA Exam 2016?

The process of online application is extremely simple and user friendly. A candidate just needs to assure that he is ready with the documents/ facilities mentioned above and follow the given steps:

Step 1- Visit UPSC’s Website
The initial thing that you are required to do is visit the official website of UPSC. For this, you can go to the address bar of the internet browser and type www.upsc.gov.in  and hit the enter key. You will be directed to the official website of UPSC.

Step 2- Find the relevant link

Once you enter the website, you will find a lot of links. Among those links, you will be required to find the link which will allow you to make an online application for UPSC NDA Exam. Look at the bottom left part of the screen where a link named as ‘UPSC Online Applications’ is mentioned. Click on the same.

Step 3- Select your exam

The page will redirect you to a new page where you would be required to select your exam. In the given list there would be two options, you will be required to select the option which is one the top which states application for various posts.

Step 4- Click on Part I Registration

You will now navigate to a new page where details of various exams would be given. Click on Part I Registration to proceed. Official Link – 

Step 5- Submit details and obtain Registration number

The Part I Registration will begin with a list of details in which would be clicking on ‘Yes’ button. Fill up the preceding form with utmost precision and then click on ‘I Agree’. This will complete your Part I registration and you will be given a registration number and profile password in your registered email and mobile number.

Step 6- Complete Part II Registration

To begin Part II registration, use the registration number and your date of birth. Once you have logged in successfully, you wold be required to upload your scanned signature and photograph along with other detailed information.

Step 7- Make Online Payment

In the end, you would be required to make a payment of INR 100 towards the examination fee. Once the payment has been made, you will have a payment confirmation slip and your online application process of UPSC NDA Exam 2016 is complete.
