Microsoft released MII (Malware Infection Index) 2016
On 7th June 2016, Microsoft Asia released its MII (Malware Infection Index) for the year 2016. This index will be indentifying the major malware threats as well as rank markets across Asia Pacific. As per the MII 2016 Index, Pakistan has been identified as the highest malware encountered location. The other top locations were Bangladesh, Vietnam, Nepal and Indonesia. India Stands eighth in this respect. These findings were analysed from the MMPC (Microsoft Malware Protection Center) data and the MSI (Microsoft Security Intelligence) report. According to the report emerging nations across Asia are most vulnerable to malware infection. The most common malware encountered are Skeeyah Gamarue and Peals.
Forbes releases list of Highest-Paid Athletes of the World 2016
On 8th June 2016, Forbes released a list of 100 Atleletes of the world who are highest paid. Soccer champion Christiano Ronaldo topped the list with an estimated 88 Million (US) Dollars earnings. These top earning atheletes come from 23 different nations and compete across 10 sports. The list is maxed by Americans as well as baseball players. The calculations of their earnings is based on salaries, bonuses, prize money, apprearances and endorsements. The second and third position was earned by Lionel Messi (soccer icon) and LeBron James (NBA). Similarly, the fouth and fifth place was earned by Roger Federer (Tennis) and Kevin Durant (Basketball Player).
Pedro P. Kuczynski wins the Peru-Presidential Election
On 9th June 2016, the National ONPE (Office of Electoral Process) announced that Pedro P. Kuczynski political organization won the presidential election by winning majority votes which was 50.12 percent of the valid voted. Pedro won over his competitor Keiko Fujimori by a very thin margin and became the next President of Peru. The gap between the votes for winning and losing sides was only 41434. Pedro P. Kuczynski is a popular economist, public administration and politician from Peru. He was Peru’s Prime Minister in 2005 and 2006.
Contest for logo & tagline design launched by India Post for IPP (India Post Payments) Bank
On 10th June 2016, a contest for logo & tagline design was launched by India Post for IPP (India Post Payments) Bank. The contest was launched on the website MyGov. On 1st June 2016, Approval was given by the Union Cabinet for setting up IPPB (Indian Post Payments Bank) under the Postal Department to improve the financial included across India. The objective of this context is to involve citizens across the nation in designing an important DNA for the bank as well as promotion of the bank.
SP Jain selected as member of Law Commission
On 10th June 2016, former Parliametarian and ASG (Additional Solicitor General) Satya P. Jain given part-time membership of the 21st Indian Law Commission. He will be taking this additional responsibility while keeping his post as the ASG of India. Satya Pal is a known constitutional lawyer as well as senior leader of the BJP (Bhartiya Janata Party). He is also Punjab University’s Law Faculty Dean and Member of PUS (Punjab University Senate).
