Do I need to use my registration number for viewing my result?
There is no requirement of registration number or any other information for viewing UPSC CDS result. All that a candidate has to do is visit the official website of UPSC and click on the respective link which will guide the candidate to the desired page.
How can I see my UPSC CDS results online?
The result for CDS Exam 2016 can be viewed within minutes. All that a candidate is required to so follow the below mentioned steps:

The exam of CDS 2016 was hosted by UPSC. Hence, it is obvious that the result will also be shown by the same website. You are required to type on the address bar of your browser and press enter. Within seconds, you will be on the UPSC website.

Step 2- Look for the right link
The UPSC website is full of various links. The link which will take you to the results page is mentioned on the right hand side of the webpage. If you are getting confused with the list of links that appear on that page, then try using the search option on the webpage by pressing CTRL key and the F key simultaneously. Once you have done that, you will have a search box on the top right hand side, where you can enter the word ‘Result’ and look for tor links which contain the mentioned word.
Your search process will become easier and you would be able to get the required link immediately.
Step 3- Find your roll number
UPSC always declared a result on the basis of roll numbers. Candidates whose roll number are mentioned in the list are eligible for the next round and the remaining ones are considered to be eliminated. So, when the list of roll number is right on your screen, try finding your roll number from the list. You can also use CTRL + F to open a search box and enter your roll number in the same.
What is next?
Once you have found your roll number in the list, you are eligible for the next phase of selection. You would be required to use your registration number once more for downloading the call letter / admit card for the next round.
Can I challenge my result?
Sorry, you cannot challenge the result which has been published by the UPSC authority. There is no provision for rechecking or challenging the decision of the UPSC authority. If you are not satisfied with the result, you can again give the exam next year.
